At Mapps Cafe, we take food allergies and dietary requirements seriously. We understand the importance of providing clear information about the ingredients in our dishes to help you make informed choices.

Our Menu

We have marked all menu items with the following symbols to indicate the presence of allergens:

Special Dietary Requirements

  • Vegetarian dishes are marked with (V)

  • Vegan dishes are marked with (VE)

While we make every effort to prevent cross-contamination, our dishes are prepared in a kitchen where allergens are present, so we cannot guarantee that any item is completely free from allergens.

The 14 Major Allergens

  1. Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats)

  2. Crustaceans (prawns, crabs, lobster, crayfish)

  3. Eggs

  4. Fish

  5. Peanuts

  6. Soybeans

  7. Milk (including lactose) - Many of our dishes contain dairy products

  8. Nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecans, Brazil nuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts)

  9. Celery (including celeriac)

  10. Mustard

  11. Sesame seeds

  12. Sulphur dioxide and sulphites (preservatives used in some foods and drinks)

  13. Lupin (a type of legume)

  14. Molluscs (mussels, whelks, oysters, snails, squid)

Important Note

While we do not specifically prepare dishes with nuts, we cannot guarantee that our ingredients are completely nut-free as they may have been processed in facilities that also handle nuts.
